Bright Fluorescence Imaging with Seamless
Macro-to-Micro Zooming
High Fluorescence Efficiency Plus Stereo Observation
The Olympus MVX10 MacroView microscope employs a single-zoom optical path with a large diameter, which is optimized to
collect light with high efficiency and resolution at all magnifications.
From fluorescent observation of whole organisms, such as
zebrafish, at low magnification to the detailed observation of gene expression at the cellular level at high magnification—the
MVX10 microscope helps you to see it all.
Choice of Suitable Contrast and Observation Method
SZX2-ILLTQ/SZX2-ILLTS
With a slim 41.5 mm design, that is approximately half the thickness of previous halogen lamp transmitted light illumination bases, new LED transmitted light illumination bases have a lower height to enable a low eyepoint and easy access to base-mounted samples during observation and operation.
The LED illumination base SZX2-ILLTQ with quad position turret enables the user to choose cartridges and to switch from brightfield (standard/high/low), oblique (standard/high/low), darkfield and polarized illumination.
Advanced Fluorescence Observation
The MVX10 is suitable as a fluorescence microscope for observing everything from whole organisms to nuclear detail, thanks to its precisely engineered optics and high NA. The advanced glass materials with low autofluorescence and new surface coatings greatly increase the transmission of light and consequently improve image clarity. Furthermore, these features result in an excellent S/N ratio and high fluorescence signal intensity. Full control of the excitation light is facilitated by the filter turret, which enables flexible illumination for low-magnification, high-resolution imaging.
Double Objectives for 4x to 125x Zoom
With the parfocal objectives and two-position revolving nosepiece, switching between objectives is very quick and easy, requiring little refocusing. Therefore, with the 0.63x, 1x and 2.0x objectives, the uninterrupted magnification range is 4x -125x.
High-Precision Macro Fluorescence Imaging
Researchers are interested in the impact of gene expression and protein function not
only at the cellular level but also within whole tissues, organs, and organisms.
Living creatures such as C. elegans , Drosophia, zebrafish, Xenopus, mice, or the arabidopsis
plant are used as biological models for in vivo studies in many research applications.
The introduction of naturally fluorescent protein makers, such as green fluorescent
protein (GFP), was a significant breakthrough, enabling proteins to be labeled without influencing their function.
High Optical Performance on Every Application
Unique Objective Line
While the MVX10 microscopes provides the same working distance and large field of view as a stereo microscope, it benefits from an increased numerical aperture (NA), leading to greater resolution.
Specially designed 0.63X, 1X, and 2X planapochromatic objectives for the MVX10 microscope produce high quality images.
